INFO: Resident Evil GBC was confirmed back in 1999 to be released alongside Resident Evil 2 on N64 as a Resident Evil Nintendo double whammy. Originally considered to be a top-down shooter or platform game, the video games world was stunned when it appeared to be an exact copy of the original, though in a simplified form. UK developers, Hotgen Studios were praised for their work, recreating the environments, music and scares of the Playstation classic. However, when it was presented to Capcom, they were displeased with it, stating that they were unhappy with what they had done with the original game and it was shelved, never to be released. It is a shame considering how far Hotgen had gone with the game and that it was a mightily impressive-looking title for the 8-bit machine.
