INFO: Resident Evil 4 has turned the survival horror series on its head and reinvigorated the franchise:
Gameplay Revolutionised: this is Resident Evil like you have never played before. Capcom have shaken up the franchise in ways you cannot believe, whilst keeping the touches that make a Biohazard game.
Fresh Storyline: Leon S. Kennedy returns in a game set six years after the past installments. Now a government agent, he is charged with protecting the President's daughter. But when she goes missing in Europe before you can begin, it is your job to rescue her. However, what seems like a simple kidnap mission turns into a journey of unspeakable evil as the horror that haunted Leon's past is about to be encountered again...
Widescreen Play: the spooky fixed camera angles are replaced with views more commonly associated with other third-person adventures, as well as the main action view positioning Leon to the side of the screen, which combines elements of a first-person shooter. On-screen health and ammo feature on the other side of the screen.
Increased Enemy AI: these bad guys are not zombies, and not humans...but something in between. The local infected villagers can gather support from others, throw items and attack with weapons. Plus, you can shoot them in different bodyparts and they will react in different ways.
More Action than ever before: with more enemies, bigger bosses, a larger arsenal and the new action button, Resident Evil 4 will have you blasting baddies in various chaotic action scenes whilst still keeping the atmospherics of the previous games. With Leon able to take control of a number of vehicles, evil has had a shot of adrenaline. And the boring puzzles have been revitalised to reflect this.
Fully 3D: beautiful locales and character animation combine with a fully 3D interactive gameplay area, whilst allowing tantalising first-person and gunsight options to ensure pinpoint accuracy when it comes to gunfire.
