INFO: The third in the Resident Evil series returned to Raccoon City to see the events of late September 1998 through Jill Valentine's perspective. Now, it is rereleased on Nintendo Gamecube. Features include:
Increased Enemy Stamina: those baddies refuse to stay dead for longer now, and tend to come back to life more often, so watch those ankles!
Old Haunts Revisited: see new areas of Raccoon City as well as old favourite locales briefly, such as the Raccoon Police Department.
Nemesis On Your Tail: now the game is even more tense, as you live with the fear of Nemesis, a brand new Umbrella beastie who is hellbent on destroying all members of S.T.A.R.S. Fast, strong and armed with a rocket launcher, Nemesis always pops up at the most inopportune moments, so watch out.
Increased Interactivity: your surroundings are now even more vital to your surivival. Wipe out hordes of enemies with explosive barrels or weaken bosses by bursting gas pipes with your bullets.
Dodge Ability: keep those pesky zombie dogs away by leaping out of the way of their attacks. Just a quick side-step can confuse those beasties, showing off your character's increased maneuovrability (along with the ability to quick-turn and not have to push a button to go up/downstairs).
Live Selection: split-second decisions need to be made and the decision can drastically alter the course of the story. The action is paused and you're given a choice of what to do next, but it has to be made quickly, or the game will choose for you. Will the decision have got you out of hot water? Or is that Nemesis breathing down your neck?
Gunpowder Mixing: now your character can collect different types of gunpowder to mix together and create new combinations of ammunition for your weapons.
Extras: a whole new heap of togs to outfit Jill Valentine with, plus an extra game mode called 'The Mercenaries', starring the U.B.C.S. who have a tight time limit to get from one side of the city to the other to stop the bomb inside them from exploding...mad, but not as mad as Tofu in RE 2.
