INFO: As part of Capcom's plan to bring the superb survival horror series to Nintendo Gamecube in their definitive versions, Resident Evil 2 is rereleased with new features different to the N64 version, including:
Rookie Mode: designed for the crap/novice/gun-happy player, you start off with the rocket launcher, submachine gun and gattling gun with unlimited ammo.
Extreme Battle Mode: select from three different levels and four playable characters, as you tackle the undead all other again against the clock with random item and enemy placement.
Clearer and Crisper: to be fair, the N64 version had quite blurry visuals, mucky FMVs and sound like it was been channelled through a dirty pipe. But now that the game's on disc, the graphics are crisper, the FMVs clearer and the sound as was intended.

UNLIMITED AMMO
When all you want to do is have some fun (I've got a feeling I'm not the only one), why not have plenty of ammo to play with. Begin playing, then press START for the Options screen. Select BUTTON CONFIG. option, highlight AIM, hold R and press Z 10 TIMES. The white boxes around CONFIG and AIM should turn red to confirm correct code entry.
EXTRA CHARACTERS
To play as Hunk, complete the game with either character with an A rating. To play as Tofu, beat the game playing as Hunk.
EXTREME BATTLE MODE
Complete both of either character's scenarios with an A rating and you get this neat little extra game unlocked under the Special section on the main title screen. If you beat Extreme Battle Mode Level 1 with any character, you can then play the mode with Ada Wong. Beat Level 2 with any character and you can play as Chris Redfield in the special game. Nice.
